Keep a Breast

Overview

This project is a PSA motion graphic created for Keep A Breast, a nonprofit organization dedicated to breast cancer awareness and prevention. The animation encourages women to build the habit of regular self-checks through the transformation of typography and flat graphic forms.

Concept

The concept is built around a set of core visual elements, including circles, the pink ribbon, and the calendar. These symbols were used to connect ideas of the body, breast cancer awareness, and the habit of regular self-checks.

Process

I explored two storyboard directions and two sets of initial styleframes during the concept development stage. After evaluating both approaches, I selected the second visual direction for the final animation because it communicates the message more clearly and better reflects the visual tone of a public service announcement.​​​​​​​
